Vanessa Walker, 60 of Monticello was born December 2nd, 1955 in Wilmar. She was the daughter of Oscar James and Freddie Mae Frye. She departed this life on August 28, 2016 in Monticello.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to John Walker in March of 1999. She accepted Christ in her early childhood years. When we think about Vanessa, words that come to mind are faithful, selfless, abundance of energy, bright charitable, provider and a fighter. She worked at the Monticello School District for 20 plus years and later retired in 2013.
