Evelyn Ruth Stewart, age 83, of Monticello, AR, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Texas. She was born in Harrold, Texas on February 11, 1934 to the late Thomas and Jessie Maud Franklin and was raised in Ft. Worth. She moved to Arkansas in 1959 where she made her life and raised her children, but Texas was always her heart and home.

Evelyn worked at Commercial Bank & Trust for over 20 years in the Note Department where she enjoyed her job, co-workers and customers very much. She was an avid reader who loved books, watching the news, working crossword puzzles, cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Clark Stewart, Jr., daughter, Kimberly Stewart Montgomery and grandson, Robert Dustin Montgomery, one sister, Marguerite Franklin Vorhies and one brother, Noah Ray Franklin.

She is survived by her children, Vernon Stanley Bland and wife Jill, Kevin Clark Stewart and wife Debbie and Sandra (Sandy) Stewart, and grandchildren, Sharon Bland Stoll, Bianca Bland, Heidi Bland and Jonathan Stewart and eight great-grandchildren.
