Patsy "Pat" Barnett Kellum
April 26, 1932 - July 18, 2014

Patsy “Pat” Barnett Kellum, age 82 of Hot Springs, formerly of Monticello, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Hot Springs. She was born April 26, 1932 in Drew County, AR to the late William Barnett and Julia Webb Barnett.

She was the widow of Charles Edward “Eddie” Kellum, a retired sales clerk and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She worked at Piggly Wiggly and Wal Mart after working many years at Newman’s Café. She was also employed as a dietician at Drew Memorial Hospital. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved fishing with the love of her life, Eddie Kellum. Pat was very strong in her faith and loved sharing it with others. She had a very devoted dear friend Valerie that visited her often and she always looked forward to visits from her niece Annette. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Kellum and a brother, Earl Barnett and a son-in-law, David R. Smith.

Survivors include one son, Jamie Kellum and wife C.J. of Covington, LA; two daughters, Diane Smith of Hot Springs and Cherie Prince and husband Dennis of Monticello; one brother, Dink Barnett of Monticello; two sisters, Betty Carter of Wilmar and Jan Tiner of Monticello; a very special granddaughter-in-law, Sharla Ashley that was faithful to style her hair, apply her makeup and give her manicures; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
