Wilda Duke Seaman
January 27, 1932 - June 18, 2016

Wilda Duke Seaman, 84 of Crossett, died June 18, 2016 in hospice care at Stone Gate Villa in Crossett, Arkansas. She was born to Sylvan Duke and Sarah Catherine Jones Duke on Jan 27, 1932 in Yell County, Arkansas.

Upon graduation from England High School, she and her younger brother, Joe Duke, moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and went to work for Safeway. Wilda married Wayne D. Seaman in Kansas City. She retired from Safeway, and Wayne retired from what was then the Honeywell Corporation. They retired to Bella Vista, Arkansas to a golf community, a sport they loved passionately.

Wilda was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Glen Duke, Hubert Duke, Sonny Duke, and Joe Duke. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Hubbell of Stone Gate Villa in Crossett, Arkansas, and Wilma Cody of Atkins, Arkansas. Other survivors include her nephew and guardian, Billy J. Hubbell and wife, Judy, of Crossett, Arkansas, and a host of other nieces and nephews. Wilda never had children, and doted on her nieces and nephews. Wilda loved playing golf and drinking Coca-Cola. One of her last requests was for a Coke. She loved having company at her home in Bella Vista, and had a strong sense of family.

Wilda was of the Methodist faith, having joined with a Methodist church in Kansas City, Missouri, and attended Bella Vista Methodist Church.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements are by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello, Arkansas. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
