Myrtle Handly Barnes, 99, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 at The Woods of Monticello Health and Rehab. She was born June 9, 1910 in Wilmar, AR.
She was the widow of Matt J. Handly and Roby Barnes, a homemaker and a Methodist. She was the daughter of the late John Arnold Kulbeth and Rosie Pearl Shelley Kulbeth and was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one son, Shelly Handly and wife, Billie of Monticello; one daughter, Sue Johnson and husband, Levin, of Monticello; four grandchilden, Jamie Handly, Craig Johnson, Jeff Johnson and Stacy Spears; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
