Hazel Lytle Loew
November 1, 1927 - July 3, 2010

Hazel Lytle Loew, 82, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. She was born November 1, 1927 in Drew County.

Hazel married Harold Joseph Loew in Las Vegas 40 years ago. She became a successful merchant with her husband and partner in the Rattan Place and The Desk Store, as well as Manor House Furniture. Her husband survives her. Among their clientele and friends were Mayor Oscar Goodman, Senator Harry Reid, Wayne Newton, Keely Smith, Frank Sinatra Jr, Siegfried and Roy, Jerry Lewis and she was a member of Soroptomist International. She retired at 65 years of age and spent her last seventeen years between Las Vegas and Monticello, AR, where she had her home built to spend her last years near her cousins, Ann Rabb, Evelyn Lawson, Laverne Quimby, Nell Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents Travis & Willie Mae Lytle, three brothers TC, William, Ralph Lytle and one sister Jacqueline Lategano.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Harold (Hal) Loew of Monticello; three daughters, Jeanie Singler and husband, Steve of Seal Rock, OR, Linda Maria Spurlock and husband, James of Boiling Springs S.C. and Candyce Colleen Bennett of Lewiston, ID; one step-daughter, Laura Pick of Laguna Niguel, CA; two step-sons, Thomas Loew of Lynwood, WA and David Loew of Carlsbad, CA; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
