Tommie Mae Brown, 86, of Monticello went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2020. She was born on August 18, 1934 to the late Tom Deshazer and Henrietta Neal.
She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Shady Grove Church in Monticello, Arkansas. She attended the Drew County Training School.
Later in life, she moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and married Thomas Julian Brown, who proceeds her in death. They were married for 33 years. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Wilford Myron O'Neal and 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Tommie Mae was well known for her cooking that she loved to do for her family and friends. She worked as a home health aide for several years and she loved taking care of people.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her son Willie Ed(Linda) O'Neal of Monticello; an adopted son, Robert(Betty) Haynes of Warren, Arkansas; two step-daughters, Joyce(Fredrick) Lewis and Faye Marie Jenkins, both of Monticello. 5 sisters of Tulsa Oklahoma, Helen, Johnnie Mae, Annette and Vernell; 4 sisters in Monticello, Gloria(Willie) Walton, Doris(Welton) Green, Clara McClarin, and a step-sister Tereatha Ollison; 3 brothers, Elmer and Andrew Deshazer of Monticello, Charles Deshazer of Little Rock. Two grand-daughters, Kim Burnett, of Monticello and Stephanie(Bennie) Briggs of North Little Rock. Two grandsons Terrial O'Neal of Atlanta, Georgia and Willie Byron O'Neal of Los Angeles, California. She has 10 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grand-children; 3 step-grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
