October 24, 1936 - August 2, 2010

James Willard Hickam, 73, of Wilmar, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born October 24, 1936.

Willard spent 25 years service with the U. S. Postal System, retiring October 2, 1992 and was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Charlie and Doris Hickam and was preceded in death by one sister, Carlene Peebles.

He was a faithful husband of 52 years, wonderful father, grandfather and 'Uncle Willard' to many nieces, nephews and other family members. He was a skilled gardener, but his true love was hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Willard was one of the best story tellers that Arkansas has ever known. Willard was an innovative, creative builder who had many talents, especially when it came to hunting and fishing.

Wilson Hickam of Biddeford, Maine; two sisters, Robbie Hawkins of Wilmar and Mary Bellafatto of Naples, FL; five grandchildren, Jordan, Hunter and Jake Hickam and Bailey and Colby Belgard.
