Guy Luther Hawkins, age 76, of Monticello, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his home in Monticello, surrounded by family. He was born January 22, 1945, to the late Archie and Blanche Whitaker Hawkins in Arkansas City, Arkansas. He was a retired truck driver. Guy enjoyed working in the yard, playing softball in his younger years, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren play sports. He and his wife Mary loved to decorate for every holiday and season of the year and always had a beautiful display both in their home and in their yard.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, BlanchieViola Burrow; brothers, James Franklin Hawkins, Benny Lee Hawkins, and Ray Lawrence ''Pete'' Hawkins.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ruth Hawkins; son, Frank Hawkins and wife Ashley; daughter, Kelly Marie Patrick and husband W.L.; grandchildren, Diana Patrick, Charlie Rice, Chris Patrick and wife Shaylin, Scott Hawkins and wife Alli, and Cole Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Wood, Kenlyn Endsley, Chase Knowles, Gage Rice, Hadleigh Hawkins, Ryan Patrick, and Daniel Patrick; sister, Mary Barnard and husband Charles; brother, Archie Hawkins and wife Christina; as well as a hose of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A come-and-go visitation to celebrate his life has been scheduled for Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the Hawkins home, 378 State School Road, 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.
