William V. Carrington, Sr.

William V. Carrington, Sr., age 73 of Monticello, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born October 12, 1948, in Drew County, AR to the late Leon Carrington and Hazel Summerford Carrington.
He was a retired farmhand and was of the non-denominational faith. William loved hunting, fishing, and watching his wrestling. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Summerford.
He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Dodson and husband Walter; one son, William ''Bubba'' Carrington, Jr.; one brother, Charles Carrington all of Monticello; one sister, Patricia Darnell of Dermott; two grandchildren, Colby Dodson and Nomi Raney; three great-grandchildren, Luke and Lettie Dodson and Hudson Raney; along with a host of family and friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Lone Sassafras Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the cemetery preceding the graveside service. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
