Velma Loraine Christmas

Loraine Christmas, age 63 of Monticello, AR, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. She was born June 11, 1958, in Peoria, IL to the late Jesse James Lawson and Geraldean Cruce Lawson. She was a homemaker, a Holy Ghost filled believer of First Assembly of God Church in Warren, AR, and a graduate of Monticello High School. She is preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Christmas of Monticello; one son, T.J. Christmas and wife Kirby of Monticello; one daughter, Lora Beth Naron and husband Andrew of Ballwin, MO; one brother Jerry Lawson and wife Kathryn of Monticello; one sister Frances Hatcher of Highlands, TX; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kirby Sneed and Bro. Jim Bales officiating. The family requests that masks be worn for everyone's safety. There will be a visitation one hour preceding the funeral services from 1:00 -2:00 P.M. Burial will be in Rash Cemetery in Drew County.
Loraine was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and sister. She was beloved as Aunt Rainey to many nieces and nephews. The grandkids, both given and chosen by love, called her Mama Raine, and we all will miss her as a dear friend.
