Clifford Howell Bowden

Clifford Howell Bowden, age 90 of the Prairie Grove community in Drew County, Arkansas, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 19, 2022. He was born December 15, 1931, in Drew County, AR to the late Howard Bowden and Mary Howell Bowden.
He was self-employed, a member of the Prairie Grove Baptist Church, and a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Clifford's hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, wagon riding, and sawmilling. He was a former member of the Drew Central School Board and was President of Prairie Grove Cemetery Association. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ouida Thurman Bowden; two brothers, Downey and Kenneth Bowden; and two sisters, Ruth Ferguson and Geneva Clampit.
His survivors include a son, Mark Bowden and wife Kim; a daughter, Susan Harris and husband Bobby all of the Prairie Grove community; two sisters in laws, Cavie Bowden and Carolyn Thurman; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; along with a special friend and caretaker, Florinda Ferguson.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Timmy Carpenter and Rev. Paul Halley officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
