Helen Frances Christmas

Helen Frances Christmas ascended into heaven on July 11, 2023, at Belvedere Nursing and Rehab Center in Hot Springs, AR. She was born September 18, 1932, in Willow, Arkansas to the late Earnest Voss and Linnie Mae Myers Sheffield. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Thompson Christmas, Sr.; and a grandson, Tommy Christmas.
Mrs. Helen was a dedicated member and leader of Collins Baptist Church and for many years. She was president of Collins Cemetery until her death. Her passion for God, family and friends never ceased. During her final months she continued to encourage her caregivers to read the Bible and pray and although incapacitated, she instructed others in cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her four children, Frances Phelps, Earnest Thompson Christmas, Jr., Mary Abernathy and Rodney Allen Christmas; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2023, at Collins Baptist Church with burial in Collins Cemetery. There will be a visitation Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
