Rhonda Michelle Massey Burton, age 59 of Monticello, Arkansas, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 13, 2023, surrounded by family at her bedside. She was born December 24, 1963, in Desha County, Arkansas to the late Billy Erwin Massey and Yenema Elizabeth Doss Massey.
She married the love of her life, Ricky Dean Burton on August 17, 1996, who preceded her in death. Michelle was a kind and loving person that loved to craft, shop, ride horses, fish, and spend time with family. For many years she worked at Union Camp, Walmart, Cash Saver, along with pipelining with her husband. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Fonda Massey; and her grandparents, Erwin and Emma Massey, Bill and Netti Doss, and Yenema and Billy Massey.
Michelle is survived by her daughter, Candice VanDee and husband Brad of Pearcy, AR; one sister, Rayan Jenkins and husband Mike of Monticello; one brother, Billy Massey and wife Melissa of Florida; two sisters-in-law, Linda Carpenter and husband Flat Top and Kathryn Burton all of Monticello; two brothers-in-law, Jackie Burton and wife Betty of Lake Village and Randy Burton of Monticello; two grandsons, Parker and Preston VanDee; along with many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved very much.
Please join us by celebrating her life, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Union Ridge Cemetery at 5:00 p.m. There will be a visitation from 3:30-4:30 p.m. before the graveside service at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
