Jessie Lee Hicks, Jr., 49, of Colt, Arkansas, departed this world Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Regional One in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born January 20, 1974, in Monticello, Arkansas to Jessie Lee Hicks, Sr. and Mary Alice Shaw Hootsell. Jessie was a technician for Vector Disease Control. He was married to Terria Campbell Hicks. He loved to hunt and spend time outdoors. He loved his family and enjoyed their time together.
Jessie is preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Leslie and Maybell Hicks; and maternal grandparents, Kyle and Martha Jean Shaw. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Terria; mother, Mary Hootsell; step-father, Sanders Lee Hootsell; son, Tajah Hicks; two daughters, Kyler Hicks and Jayah Hicks; three sisters, Kathy Shaw, Angela Simpson, and Sherry Lynn Hicks; one grandson, Jayce Hicks, and one granddaughter, Jade Denise Hicks; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, November 10, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow the funeral services in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello, Arkansas.
