Brenda Carol Young, age 69 of Monticello, AR passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was born January 5, 1954, in Dermott, AR to James Higgins and Retta Kellum Higgins.
She was a retired hairdresser and member of the Green Hill Community Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Liz King; two brothers, Steve and Jimmy Higgins; four children, Rachel Holland of Huntsville, AL, Angelique Scott of Bristol, VA, Christy Anderson of Forney, TX and Ryan Young; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Green Hill Community Baptist Church. There will be a visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. preceding the memorial service at the church.
