Benny Ray Austin, Jr., age 58 of the Rock Springs community, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, in Pine Bluff, AR. He was born August 19, 1965, in Monticello, AR to Sally Jean Hipp Austin and the late Benny Ray Austin, Sr.
He was employed in lawn care and was a Christian. Benny loved being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Iris Hipp.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Griffin of Pine Bluff; his mother, Sally Austin of the Rock Springs community; one brother, Harry Dennis Austin of Pine Bluff; two grandsons, Michael and Hunter; a half-sister, Stormy Lusk; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; his step-mother, Debbie Austin; and a step-brother, Ricky Hankins.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, at Rock Springs Community Church with Rev. Marty Reep officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery.
