Roy Lamar Hoke
November 28, 1936 - December 27, 2010

Roy Lamar Hoke, 74, of Lincoln County, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 as a result of a house fire. He was born November 28, 1936 in Monticello.

He was a retired skidder driver and chain saw cutter in forestry and logging. Roy received a certificate in Forestry and Logging from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He attended Ebenezer A.M.E. Church. His hobbies were hunting and fishing and his favorite television shows were western movies.

Roy was the son of the late John Hoke and Ometa Jordan Hoke Davis and was preceded in death by his step-father, Duffie Davis; two brothers, Leonard Charles Hoke and Joe Lee Hoke; step-son Carroll Johnson.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky (Nadine) Hoke, Sr. of Pine Bluff and Mario Hoke of Rison; three daughters, Almeta (Terry) Miller of Monticello, Deborah (Jessie) Linsy of Pine Bluff and Marlene (Kenneth) Jacobs of Fordyce; one step-son, Bobby Joe (Anita) Johnson of Prattsville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends; former wife, Johnnie Mae Fisher Hoke Caldwell (Daughter, Deborah Lindsy) of Kansas City, MO and former special friend, Bobbie Johnson of Rison.
