Sandra Kay Miller
February 25, 1947 - October 9, 2024

Sandra Kay Hudson Miller, age 77, of Monticello, AR passed away at her home, Wednesday, October 9. 2024. She was born February 25, 1947, to the late Woodrow Hudson and Jewell Halligan Hudson in Warren, AR. Sandra was a teacher for Monticello School District as the SDC teacher for many years before her retirement. She loved flowers and always had a wreath on the door for every occasion. She was an animal lover, especially her own dogs.
In addition to her parents Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dale Miller; her sister, LaDell Hudson Vines; three brothers-in-law, R.L. Miller, Jr., Gary Miller, and Leo Miller; and five sisters-in-law, Joan Miller Herring, Elouise Gregory, Marcell Clary, Vivian Johnston, and Eddie Stout.
She is survived by niece and caregiver, Sandy Forrest Coulter and husband Russell; very special friends who were like children, Chris Barnett, Darla Barnett, Maggie Barnett, Rachel Barnett Ludlow and husband Aaron; sister in laws, Mary Miller and Barbara Miller; nieces and nephews, Terri Miller Sawyer and husband Daniel, Jason Miller, Doug Herring and wife Diane, Rusty Miller, John Wayne Slaughter, Scott Sanders and wife Sandy and Donna Walker; a special great niece Erin Coulter who also helped in caring for Sandra; cousins, Marilyn Jones, Sarah Reep, Richard Hudson, Brenda Stephens, Betty Chancellor, Sue Meeks, and Robert "Bobby" Louis Halligan; special friends, Mae Lee Miller and Yolanda Boatner; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be, Doug Herring, Scott Sanders, Billy Don Gilliam, Russell Coulter, Jason Miller, Brent Smith, Bradley Sears, and Chrismond Nix. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lyle Welch, Chris Barnett, Tim Etue, John Wayne Slaughter, Byron Pharr, and her best friend Marion Pharr.
