Dolores Elaine Seay
November 2, 1937 - November 30, 2024

Dolores Elaine Seay, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully, November 30, 2024, at her home, at the age of 87. She was born November 2, 1937, in Yonkers, New York to the late Thomas Seay, Jr. and Marjorie Seay Hawley. Dolores was an Eastern Star, a member of the Sisters of Isis, and enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping, entertaining family and friends, fishing and gambling. Dolores lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for her family and community. She served her community by working for Yonkers Police Department as an Administrative Assistant for many years. While working for the Yonkers Police Department she received her Master's degree in Psychology. This led her to become the Guidance Counselor with the Board of Education in Westchester County, New York. She was known for her unwavering support of those she loved and her ability to bring joy to everyone she met. Her warmth, sense of humor, and compassionate spirit made her a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her. Whether she was tending to her plants, volunteering at local organizations, or spending time with her loved ones. Dolores always found ways to make the world a better place. She was a wonderful decorator and a fashionista.

In addition to her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Wilbert Arterbridge and second husband, Richard Perry; her son, Kevin William Arterbridge; her sister, Virginia (Larry) Jones; great granddaughters, Keyanna Price and Keyairra Price; brother-in-law, Donald Moguel and niece, Cheryl Jones-Baker.

Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Kim (Donald) Arterbridge-White of Monticello, AR; sisters, Florence Moguel of Bunnell, FL, and Laverne Douglas of Hampton, VA; granddaughters, Kiah Arterbridge of Duluth, GA, Kirah (Brandon) White-Elliard of Charlotte, NC, K. Ella Arterbridge of Fort Mill, SC, Keisha (Vincent) Arterbridge-Thompson of Monticello, AR, Kimirah Arterbridge of Charlotte, NC, and Kaliyah Dolores (Angelo) Ibay of Wilpena, HI; grandsons, Keyan Dupree of Yonkers, NY, Kellan E. White of Mesa, AZ, Kona E. White of Fort Mill SC, Khevin White of Stockton, CA, and Kashon Simmons of Yonkers, NY; a great granddaughter who helped care for her, A'meera Cola of Columbia, SC; twelve great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; as well as a large host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Dolores will be deeply missed but her memory will live on through the many lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Yonkers, New York, February 15, 2025. Time and location will be announced closer to the service date in the New York paper.
