Gurvis L. Johnson, Jr., 83 of Monticello, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born October 3, 1927 in Leachville.
He was a self employed mobile home repairman and a Baptist. He was the son of the late Gurvis L. Johnson, Sr. and Cassie Nelson Johnson and was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Paula Sue Johnson.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Bonita Finnell Johnson of Monticello; two daughters, Elloise Foshee-Hales and Deborah Arrington, both of Monticello; two brothers, Max Johnson and John Ray Johnson, both of Fordyce; one sister, Alice Jordan of Monticello; three grandsons, Michael and Brian Foshee and B. J. Arrington; three great-grandchildren, Jaci Foshee and Marke and Johnny Brower Foshee; many more family and friends.
