Marion "Curley" E. Rawls

Marion E. 'Curley' Rawls, 83, of Monticello, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011 at Drew Memorial Hospital. He was born November 29, 1927 in Drew County.
He was a retired Drew County Road Foreman, U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a Baptist. He was the son of the late Alexander Eck Rawls and Mollie Evora O'Neill Rawls and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Travis Rawls and four sisters, Audrey Young, Lola Riley, Clara Carpenter and Mildred Merck. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed riding horses.
Survivors include his wife, Katherleen Brantley Rawls of Monticello; one son, David Rawls and wife, Cindy of Monticello; one daughter, Gloria Rawls Schwab of Bentonville, AR; three grandchildren, Kaley Schwab, Jeffery Rawls and wife, Jamie, Samantha Rawls Tucker and husband, Seth; and two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Rawls and Silas Tucker.
