John Porter Franklin, Jr.
April 25, 1970 - September 30, 2011

John Porter Franklin, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home, Friday, September 30, 2011, in Monticello, AR., surrounded by his loving wife, children, mother, host of aunts, nieces, family and friends. He graduated from Drew Central High School. He was a member of Holy Rollers Motorcycle Club. He loved spending time with family, hunting, fishing and working out at the athletic club. He was employed with Southland Trucking until his health failed. John was baptized at an early age. He joined the House of Prayer Ministry, was called into ministry and accepted his calling. John truly Loved the Lord. He was a man of Great Faith. He touched the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His light shined and others saw Christ in him. He was the associate youth pastor.

John is the grandson of the late Porter & Teresa Franklin and Lem & Loraine Lambert. Brother, Antwan Miller, preceded him in death. John was born April 25, 1970 to the proud parents of John Porter Franklin, Sr. & Mary Franklin. John Franklin married, March 24, 2004, to Connie White. He was a devoted husband and father to his children.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife, Connie Franklin of Monticello, AR; one son Jalen Franklin; two daughters, Corneshia Bassestt and Zabrielle Bradley; one god-daughter, who he loved dearly, Savannah Franklin, all of Monticello; Parents, John & Mary Franklin of Lacey; one sister Tonya (Vincent) Leonard; three brothers, Deverick (Clare) Franklin, Alfonzo (Jennifer) Franklin of Monticello; Tyrone (Lateasha) Franklin of Wilmar; cousins, reared as brothers, Undra (Anita) Lambert of New York, Daryle (Tassie) Daniels of Monticello, Terrance (Candi) Daniels of Whiteville, TN and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
