Alieta Reddin Alieta Rowland Reddin died February 2, 2012 in Sylva, North Carolina. She was 94 years old. She was born August 13, 1917 in Fordyce Arkansas to Wood Thomas and Rufie Etta Hardman Rowland. Most of her early life was spent in the El Dorado area. She met James Taylor Reddin when she was a school teacher in Hampton. They married and moved to Monticello in 1940 where she lived until moving to be near her daughter, Susan, in 2007. She taught in Monticello City Schools for 30 plus years. After she retired she was active in civic and church activities and enjoyed needlework, gardening and playing bridge. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and among other things taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of Chapter AB, PEO Sisterhood. Obituary Provided By: |
