Barbara Jo Forrest

Barbara Jo Sawyer Forrest, age 72, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Drew Memorial Hospital. She was born July 22, 1939 in Drew County.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Northside Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Godfrey and Dovie Creighton Sawyer and was also preceded in death by one brother, Greg Sawyer, one sister, Reba Scogin and a grandson, Brent McDougald. Mrs. Forrest loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, W. T. Forrest of Monticello; four daughters, Anita Stafford and husband, Charles of Perryville, Benita Burris and husband, Bobby, Pam McDougald and Deanna Lasiter, all of Monticello; one son, Jonathan Forrest and wife, Cheyenne of Monticello; two sisters, Kay Crook and husband, Gary of Monticello and Janice Sawyer of Florida; one brother, Ed Sawyer and wife, Gwen of Monticello; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
