Shirley Mae Sheets

Shirley Mae Tilman Sheets, was born May 14, 1949 to the parentage of the late Olive B. Avery and Willie Tilman in Drew County, Arkansas. She was reared by her grandparents Albert and Beatrice Simmons.
Shirley professed a hope and faith in Jesus Christ at an early age with the Mount Tabor Baptist Church. Shirley Mae was united in Holy Matrimony to Cal Lawrence Sheets on December 23, 1967 and to the union three children were born. She was employed by the Burlington Carpet Mill in Monticello for twenty years. On July 31, 2012 the angel of silence came into the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR with chilly fingers, sealed the lips of Shirley Mae Sheets. Her soul winged its flight from this world of sin, sorrow, and pain, to a place of eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, a brother, Fester Lee Carr, and a sister, Annie Jean Avery.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Cal Lawrence Sheets; two sons Carlos Sheets and Garrett Sheets both of Wilmar, AR; one daughter, Kywanda (William) Hines of Warren; her grandchildren, Ka'wanta, Ta'wanta, Robert Marshall, and Dexter Hines all of Warren, Christian Sheets of Wilmar, AR, Kiera Sheets and Garrett Sheets, Jr. and Le'la Smith, Lola Smith, and Blakely Block; five brothers, Clemmon Avery, Herbert Avery, Dexter Carr, Orlando Baker and James "Jimmy" Simmons; six sisters, Roselyn (Calvin) Gardner, Evangline Carr, Valerie Carr, Dethra Gardner, Deborah (Pete) Daniels and Sylvia Carr; her mother-in-law, Nettie Sheets; her brother-in-law, Wiley (Tammy) Sheets; five sister-in-laws, Alberta (Donald) Flentroy, Otha Sheets, Laura Sheets, Kattie (Kenneth) Trotter and Nannette (Graylin) Wilson; one uncle, Levi Thurman Jr.; two aunts, Irma Lean McCorn and Etha Mae Jackson; a special nephew: Antonio "Buster" Carr, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
