Mavis Burnett Maier, 89 of Dallas, TX, formerly of Monticello, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in Dallas. She was born September 23, 1923 in Monticello.
She was the widow of Everett Maier, a hairdresser and homemaker and a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Dallas. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lettie Trotter Burnett and was preceded in death by one brother, Garvin Burnett and one granddaughter, Courtney Crowe. Mavis loved to sew, cook, garden and paint.
Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Zehler of Dallas, TX; one brother, Harry Burnett of Monticello; two sisters, Mary Alice Chatham of Dumas and Lucy Allen of Monticello; one granddaughter, Alex Davis of Dallas, TX; a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.
