Joyce L. Schmalz

Joyce Barnard Schmalz, 76, of Benton, formerly of Monticello, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 in Benton. She was born January 27, 1936 in Logan County, but moved within a few months to the Drew County area.
She was a homemaker and a Catholic. She attended elementary school in Collins and graduated High School in Dermott in 1954. Joyce was the daughter of the late Lizzie Barnard.
She is survived by one son, Wesley Bethune of Houston, TX; her dearly beloved ex-husband, Gerhard Schmalz of Pine Bluff and numerous cousins and other relatives.
