Robert Downey Bowden, Sr.

Robert Downey Bowden, Sr., 74, of Monticello, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at his home in the Prairie Grove Community. He was born October 29, 1938 in the Prairie Grove Community to the late Howard C. Bowden and Mary Howell Bowden.
He was a disabled Army National Guard Veteran and a member of Prairie Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gloria Jean McDougald Bowden of the Prairie Grove Community; one son, Robert Bowden and wife, Chastity, of the Prairie Grove Community; two grandsons, Dylan and Wyatt Bowden, both of the Prairie Grove Community; two brothers, Clifford Bowden and Kenneth Bowden, both of the Prairie Grove Community; two sisters, Geneva Clampit and Ruth Ferguson, both of Monticello; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thanks to all the caregivers.
