Loyd Ray Irons, age 76 of Wilmar passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born August 1, 1937 in Bucknob, AR to the late Jerry Lewis Irons and Ethel Standridge Irons.

He was a retired farmer and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Irons.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Cessor Irons of Wilmar; two sons, Bobby Irons of Watson and Jason Irons of Evansville, IN; two daughters, Sharon Howard of Paron and Rita Essery of Cold Springs, TX; two brothers, James Irons of McGehee and Harlan Irons of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Florene Turner of Rison and Lorene Chambers of Hot Springs; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
