Life is often symbolized by light. Indeed, an abundant Christian life spreads a glow around it that is impossible to mistake. Karen was a light unto her family and friends. Karen believed and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She joined the family of believers of the Gospel and was baptized. Karen was a member of the Church of Christ.
"Where He Leads Me, I Will Follow" was one of Karen's favorite songs, which gave purpose to her life and her service. Karen had a one of a kind laugh and believed that children should respect the elders.
On October 1985, Karen was a young, energetic, courageous woman just out of high school. She allowed her heart to lead her. She joined the United States Army with a profound desire to serve her country. Karen spent a portion of her time at Fort Jackson, SC and was stationed in Germany. Karen stood tall, hung with brave and proud service men and women to protect her country and our freedom.
After a stint with the military, Karen was led to the field of health care. Karen attended Great Rivers Vocational Technical School and received a practical nursing degree in 1998. Karen was groomed with a steadfast compassion to serve others. Karen also worked for GNC located in Monticello as a supervisor and Comet Cleaners. Karen's last employer was Wood's of Monticello Health & Rehabilitation Center, where she worked until January 2014.
Karen loved family and home. She was a loving and caring daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, co-worker and friend. Karen demonstrated an humble spirit which was felt throughout her circle of co-workers, friends and family. During her illness, Karen was surrounded with love from her family and bedside "humor" poured in from Shalonda.
Karen's daughter, Tori, was "joy and happiness" coupled with all that a mother's love was meant to be. Tori, she loved so much. And gave "thanks" to God for allowing her to stay around to see Tori off to the prom…then graduate on May 20, 2014, just 10 days before she departed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Goodman-Binns; a brother, Terry Lee Binns, Jr; her grandparents, Rebie Folks, H.B. Binns and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Goodman.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Natori Simone Binns of Monticello, AR; her father, Terry (Ann) Binns of Wilmar, AR: 6 sisters, Linda (David) Binns-Shepherd of Monticello, AR, Talisha, Nydra and Carla Binns, all of Wilmar, AR, Marchantia (Logan) Ivey of Phoenix, AZ, Marilyn West of Monticello; two brothers, Kent Jones of Omaha, NE and Jose Binns of Wilmar, AR; her special friend and companion, Wardell Herman of Crossett, AR; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Ocala, FL Thursday, June 5, 2014 I will forever cherish the memories of my sweet cousin, Karen Deloris Binns! Although our family is dealing with great sorrow; for all of the tomorrows, may we remember and rest, knowing that:Isaiah 57:1-2
Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die. (NLT)
