DeAngelo Marquese Martin, 20, was born May 28, 1994 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR, to Deidra Martin of Arlington, TX, and Dennis Johnson, III, of Monticello, AR. He departed from this early life June 2, 2014, at 8:55 am at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

DeAngelo was a 2012 graduate of Monticello High School where he competed in athletics. Following his graduation, he attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He was employed by Rabb's Construction and Walmart for a short period of time.

He was a member of both, Trinity Full Gospel and First Baptist Church, both of Monticello, AR. He loved baseball and football. He enjoyed his family, hanging out with his sisters, brothers, cousins and friends. He was constantly talking to his brothers and sisters encouraging them to keep pushing forward to achieve their goals. He was not an average child. He managed never to get in trouble, even if you tried to make him. He will truly be missed by his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Deidra Martin of Arlington, TX; his father, Dennis (Kim) Johnson, III, of Monticello, AR; three brothers, Joshua Morris of Little Rock, AR, Quintarius Johnson of Monticello, and Darius Russ of Arlington, TX; three sisters, Destiny Ridgell of Conway, AR, Shontiara Johnson of Monticello, AR and Dallas Russ of Little Rock, AR; his grandparents, Dennis Jr. and Virdell Johnson, Effie McGary, all of Monticello, AR, Lenburg Cherry of Chicago, IL: his great grandparents, Ruby Leonard of Monticello, AR and Sadie Harris of Chicago, IL; two nephews, Michael (DaDa) Ridgell and Kaleb Christian of Conway, AR; his godmother, Marcia Hood of Fort Smith, AR, and godparents, Lorenza and Ola Simmons of Monticello, AR; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
