Send Flowers Send Flowers
Omelia Marie Walker passed away peacefully on November 26, 2009 from the arms of her loving family to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. Omelia was born and raised in Selma, AR. She graduated from Drew High School. Omelia accepted Christ at an early age and joined Sweet Hope Baptist Church, where she served as President of the Usher Board until her health failed. She was a cosmetologist and a homemaker.

Omelia was born December 10, 1945 to the late Willie B. Suber and Eurates Glin. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charles E. Walker, and her beloved son, Lewayne Curtis Burl and three brothers and one sister. She leaves her memories to her three daughters, Shetrelia Brown (Craig)Fort Worth, TX; Chandala Moore (William)Pine Bluff, AR; and Marcia Bell (David) Arlington, TX. Her precious grandchildren Tony Davis, Blair Brown, Davion Bell, Sidney Bell, and Blake Bell; her three brothers James Suber, Timmy Suber, and Edward Suber (Marcia); special aunt Ruby Leonard, special niece she raised, Deyunna Suber of Peoria, IL and her other relatives and special friends.

Omelia loved the Lord; she understood her calling and was a living testament to a countless number of people. She touched the lives of many people with her radiant smile, gentle touch, and outpouring love. She never met a stranger, even in her most challenging moments you would see her smiling, talking with the doctors, nurses, patients, friends, or whomever passed her way. She provided them with comfort, her love, but most importantly Godly strength to face life. Her tenacity and willingness to face each day with a renewed mind and insurmountable strength taught others, that God is LOVE and His grace is SUFFICIENT. Through your good times, rely on Him and through your times of trouble, trust Him.

Omelia was a proud mom that loved and cared for her family dearly. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, planting seeds in their lives and watching them grow. Also, she loved fishing, cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

    To: Trelia, Chan and Marcie
It was truly a blessing to have Lillie in my life. I learned so much, not only from her, but your whole family. I have shed so many tears since she's been gone. I can't recall ever seeing her without a smile on her face and that's how I wanted to remember her. Her struggle was long, but not in vain. Have some comfort in knowing that she had her mind made up, she had her heart right and her soul was ready. Even though her physical being is not here, what she left us in our heart and spirit will forever remain strong. I love you always, my sisters. Betty Ann

Lillie and I have been friends for years, before I got out of High School. I love the fact that she gave God the glory through it all. And I know that because every time we talked that's the way it was. There was times when I though that I was encouraging her when we would hange up I found that she was encouraging to me, and I'm so grateful to have had a friend like her in my life. Thank you God because they are very few now days. Girls rember what I said, look to God first and support each other always. Rember I love you guys, and I'm here when YOU NEED ME!!!!!!!! God Bless You !!!!!
