He was a retired truck driver and the son of the late Roy Grays and Maggie Ingram Grays. He was preceded in death by his sons, Lee Andrew Grays and Willie Earl Grays; a grandson, Michael "Mickey" Grays; sisters, Vera Johnson and Jackie Brooks; six brothers, Bailey, Burl, Isaac, Joe Lee, Charles and Nunnie Grays.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Washington Grays of Lacey; daughter, Shirley Patterson (Ernest) of Los Angeles, CA; son, Edward Grays (Linda) of Lacey; four sisters, Geneva Simpson, Christine Patterson and Gracie Mathaney, all of Los Angeles, CA and Bobbie Jean Miller of Fountain Hill, AR; two brothers, B. J. Grays (Margaret) of Lacey and Roy Grays, Jr. (Alma) of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
