Mr. Simpson was a Christian, of the Pentecostal Faith and a member of The Family Worship Center in Warren. He was a retired farmer for Reinhart Farms. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-father Albert Langston; and one brother, Woody Simpson.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Marjorie "Margie" Hill Simpson of Monticello; two sons, Samuel Hawkins and wife Deanna of Martin, TN and Steven Hawkins and wife Kim of Durant, OK; one daughter, Tina Palmer and husband Charles of Monticello; three brothers, Clyde Simpson, Melvin Simpson, Henry Simpson and wife Sheila all of Monticello; one sister, Ollie Simpson Carter of Monticello; twelve grandchildren, Tyler, Arayna, Jesse, Alexander, Devin, Steven, Kasidy, Brittney, Madilynn, Tonya, Dayton and Stephan; one great granddaughter, Alex; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2016 at The Family Worship Center in Warren. Visitation will be Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
