Mrs. Bartholomew was a co-owner of B&L Closet and past owner/operator of Lena's Café. She was a Christian and a Baptist. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Bartholomew, Sr.; four brothers, Junior Layton, Robert Lee Layton, Jimmy Layton and Harold Curtis Layton; and two sisters, Ruthie Mae Layton and Brenda Kay Peacock.
Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy McDaniel and husband Randy of Monticello and Dolly Layton of Star City; a special niece, Diana Acrey; a special nephew, Royce Dickerson of Monticello; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Dermott Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
