Ivory Charles Foster, 74, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at The Woods Nursing and Rehab in Monticello. He was born in Drew County, November 14, 1941 to the late Crawford and Evora Miller Foster.

He graduated from Drew High School in 1960 and attended Auto Mechanic School and graduated from SEARK in 1970. He was also a self-employed skilled logger for many years, where he met many friends as a timber contractor. Charles was a former member of Victory Christian Fellowship and Metropolitan AME Zion church. He loved gospel music and praising God.

Charles had a high school sweetheart, Willie Mae Brooks who moved away after graduation to Chicago, Illinois for 30 years. They were reunited in friendship and love after back to Wilmar, AR, which lead to Holy Matrimony in September 14, 1997. A love which lasted 19 years until his death.

Together they are the parents of four children, Miko (Melvin) Trotter of Wilmar, Timothy Robinson of Monticello, Latanya (Harvey) Baker and Monica Watkins, both of Chicago, IL; eleven grandchildren, Alisha, Tristian, Jarred, Steven, Danielle, Patrick, Courtney, Brandon, Quinton, Ryan and Donavon who he loved dearly-and they called him PaPa; three great-grandchildren, Ngema, Zora and Elijah.

He also leaves to cherish his memories five sisters, Mary Foster of St. Louis, MO, Julia Christian and Classie (Clarence) Green of Pine Bluff, Rosetta Foster of Monticello and Barbara (Clifton) Richardson of McGehee; three brothers, Elder, Melvin (Mary) Foster, Troy (Rose) Foster and Larry Foster all of Monticello; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Wilmar Cemetery. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
