I served in the armed forces.
Lemial "Mel" Adrian Huneycutt, age 68 of Monticello, entered the Kingdom of God on November 18, 2016. He had a rare melanoma cancer. He was born May 28, 1948 in Tulip, AR to the late Jason Adrian Huneycutt and Mavis Seale Huneycutt.

He was retired from Cintas and was currently working in maintenance for Bud Bullock Real Estate. He served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years and attended Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

Mel was an avid Razorback fan, enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing, mechanic work and yard work but, most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Above all things, he was a worker for the Lord, loved people and led many to the Lord. He frequently visited the sick in the hospital and nursing homes and would always be there for his neighbors in times of need.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of 45 years, Dianna Langley Huneycutt; two sons, Ray Huneycutt of Star City; Michael Huneycutt (Alex) of Monticello; two daughters, Melissa Huneycutt and Jessica (Chris Robins) Huneycutt both of Monticello; three grandchildren, Austin Huneycutt, Jaci Foshee and Taylor Huneycutt; two brothers, Ronnie Huneycutt (Darlene) of Leola, AR; David Huneycutt (Carolyn) of Springfield, MO; two sisters Rebecca Smith (Bill) of Bismarck; Karen Hall (Roger) of Bentonville; host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Diane and Family, Terri and I send prayers for Lemial and your wonderful family. His memory (with Rebecca and Ronald Lewis in tow) in shorts and barefoot at the home of Adrian and Mavis can never fade. A couple of phone calls with Lemial over the past few months were special. He spoke of how highly he cared for you, the children and grandchildren. I was very thankful to have known Lemial and will miss him.

Rebecca and family, I was saddened to learn of your loss, today. Our Daddies grew up together and went on to WWII together. Both my parents grew up with Mavis. My Mother and Daddy thought so much of both Mavis and Adrian. This death is much, much too soon. The Seales and the DeLaughters go way back. Please know I am with you in thought and prayer during these tough days.
