Betty Joann Ramsey, age 83 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born September 21, 1933 in Drew County, AR to the late Louie Pharr and Erie Bond Pharr.

She was the widow of Thomas J. Ramsey and a retired dietician having received her dietician degree from Eastfield College in Dallas, TX. Mrs. Ramsey was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Victoria Ann "Vicky" Bates and husband Gerald of Monticello; two sons, Thomas Dean Ramsey and wife Linda of Plano, TX and Steven Jay Ramsey of San Francisco, CA; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Baptist Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 800 Marshall Slot 661, Little Rock, AR 72202. Online guest book www.stephensondearman.com
