He was the widower of Diann C. Haynes, his wife of 46 years, was a flood control project coordinator for Harris County. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Andrew Haynes; and three sisters, Alberta Ward, Evelyn Blevins and Pearlie Hardin.
Survivors include one son, Scott Haynes of Houston, TX; one daughter, Jennifer Kent of Houston, TX; two brothers, Jerry Haynes of Pine Bluff and Roger Haynes of Benton; two sisters, Bonnie Hill and Shirley Watson both of Dumas; two grandchildren, Cassie Bruce and Parker Bruce both of Conroe, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel in Monticello, AR with burial to follow in Union Cemetery at Rye. Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
