Geneva Elizabeth Bowden Clampit, age 91 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born December 25, 1925 in Drew County, AR to the late Howard Clifford Bowden and Mary Frances Howell Bowden. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Downey Bowden and Kenneth Bowden.

She was the widow of Willard Clampit, a housewife and a member of Second Baptist Church. Mrs. Geneva's hobbies included quilting, sewing, cooking, gardening and doing house and yard work.

She is survived by one brother, Clifford Bowden and wife Ouida of the Lone Prairie Community; one sister, Ruth Ferguson of Monticello; one brother-in-law Jerry Clampit and wife Mary; three sister-in-law's, Dorothy Jean Heald, Gloria Jean Bowden and Cavie Bowden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Hearron officiating. Burial will follow in Lacey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Lacey Cemetery, c/o Roy Allen White, 671 Hwy 133 S., Fountain Hill, AR 71642.
