I moved to El Dorado in 1972 to begin a new job at Barton Jr. High School. There I met Mrs. Bellott & we found we had in common our Drew County roots. Her mom, Mrs. Raines, had been a teacher in the elementary school I attended.
After many years we both moved back "home." I would see her from time to time at Wal Mart & we would visit. She enjoyed talking about her family.
I am sorry for your loss; she was a sweet lady & a friend.
  6. Margaret Ann Cummings Scott

John, I'm so very sorry to read that we have lost your Mom. As you know, I loved her so very much. I really enjoyed our many visits when she would come in the office and when I'd see her around town. She was definitely one of my favorite people. Don't think you could find a sweeter lady anywhere. My condolences to you and your family. She will really be missed.
