Linda K. Collins Tolefree, age 61 of Monticello passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born February 15, 1956 to the late Sarah Lillie Collins and Gus Matthews, Jr.

Linda received Christ at an early age at the Ebenezer AME Church. She was a faithful/active member holding several positions. She attended Drew High School. Her favorite pastime was singing and spending time with family and friends.

Linda moved to Crossett, AR, there she united with Thomas Tolefree. She later moved back to Monticello, AR, where she met a special friend, the late Sylvester Rhodes of 37 years whom preceded her in death
.
Linda was employed at Burlington Industries, she also worked in housekeeping at Days Inn, and Super 8 motels in Monticello, AR until her health failed her.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Sue Collins Davis, Effie Louise Rogers and Darlene Matthews Mallet.

Cherishing her memories forever are her: loving daughters, Yolanda Simpson, Sarah Rhodes, Melony Tolefree (Douglas) of Monticello; one son, Donald Bluford of Carlsbad, Mexico; two brothers, William Lee (Excie) Matthews of Blytheville, AR and Raymond Harris of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Jerry Ann (Charlie) Smith of Monticello, AR; nine grandchildren, Sherelle (Emanuel) White of Lakeland, FL, LaJada Coakley, Jordan Jefferson, Jaiden Rhodes, Dontavious Bluford, all of Monticello, AR, Don'Tavion Bluford, Dre'Kel Bluford, Jaylyn Strong all of Warren, AR, Mary K. Fite of Seagraves, TX; one great-grandson, Tyler White of Lakeland, FL. She also leaves a special Aunt Merva Dean Collins of Monticello, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Campground Cemetery. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
