David Scott Bailey, age 55 of Hot Springs, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Heritage of Hot Springs. He was born February 17, 1962 in Monticello, AR to William H. Bailey and the late Julia Ann Worbington.

He was a Christian of the Southern Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, Scott was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Parker, his maternal grandparents, Rev. Joe and Alpha Cruce Worbington; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Vonnie Bailey and four aunts, Janie Bailey McLemore, Mary Bailey Chase, Helen Bailey Allen and Vonita Bailey Clemons; one uncle Jimmy Bailey. As a young teen, Scott accepted Christ as his Savior and enjoyed attending church and hearing his Papaw Joe preach. He was a 1980 graduate of Monticello High School. One of his favorite things was playing the guitar. Scott was a soft-spoken, kind and respectful person. His family takes solace in knowing that he is now at peace.

Survivors include his father, William H. Bailey of Odessa, TX; two brothers, Dr. Bobby Parker and wife Dara of Conway, AR and John W. Bailey of Austin, TX; one sister, Alissa Bailey Beyer and husband Kyle of Dearborn, MI; three aunts, Genella Worbington Henry, Mavis Worbington Barnes and Dorothy Bailey Richardson, one uncle, Kenny Worbington and wife Kay, all of Monticello; five nephews and three nieces and several first cousins.

Graveside service will be 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Worbington officiating. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
