Joye Elizabeth Arrington Strebeck, age 73 of Little Rock, formerly of Monticello, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at her home in Little Rock. She was born October 26, 1943 in Monticello, AR to the late Norman E. and Lola B. Arrington.

Joye was graduate of Monticello High School and was a member of Chicot Baptist Church in Lake Village where she had lived for many years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Martin E. Strebeck; a sister, Norma Warren; a brother, Johnny Arrington; a niece Paula Moix; and a sister-in-law, Pamela Arrington. Joye's greatest blessing was the birth of her daughter, Page (Martin) McDonald and her four grandchildren, Gracen, Katy, Avery and Will.

Joye was a beautiful lady, very social, and never met a stranger. Her beautiful life will always be cherished in the lives of family and friends. She had a natural talent in decorating and was very creative. Whether she was re-decorating and painting her home or decorating her home for the holidays, everything she did was beautiful. She enjoyed adventure and, as a younger lady, she learned to fly an airplane and had her licenses to do so. She enjoyed skydiving, riding motorcycles and just enjoyed life.

Joye loved having family gatherings at her home for the holidays. There was never a dull moment at these gatherings. Some of greatest memories of ours were in the summertime. Her home was on the lake. She and her husband, Marty made sure everyone had a great time. The days were full of fishing, boating, swinging on the swings that hung from the trees, a little water fun on the slip-n-slides, or just relaxing out in the yard. Everyone had something to do. These are our treasured memories.

Survivors include her daughter, Page (Martin) McDonald; one brother, Michael Arrington,; grandchildren, Gracen, Katy, Avery, and Will; niece Kimberly (Eric) Schultz; nephews Marcus (Kriket) Arrington and Rob (Karren) Metzer; numerous cousins and great/great-great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 in Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Lemons officiating. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.

I didn't personally know Joye but would like to say whomever wrote her obituary did so wonderfully. Description of being lovable and loving, adventurous, as beautiful on inside as she was outside. Her name alone reflects who she was. Your words make me sad I never met her. You can
tell it was written by someone who truly loved her. Am so sorry for the loss
of Joye, such a bright presence in your life.
