Ira Carroll Lagrone, age 75 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his home. He was born October 26, 1941 in Monticello, AR to the late Ira Lagrone and Ruby Stevers Lagrone.

He was a retired shipping clerk for Georgia Pacific, cattle farmer, United States Army Veteran, a Christian and member of North Side Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by twin sons, Terry and Thomas Carroll Lagrone.

Carroll was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising cattle. He always put his family first and was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed so much being with his first great grandchild, Stone.

Survivors include his wife, Rhea Allison Lagrone of Monticello; one stepson, Donnie Kulbeth and wife Lorie of Conway; one stepdaughter, Debbie Stone and husband Dean of Stuttgart; one daughter, Ramona Martin of Paragould; one brother, Raymond Lagrone of Spokane, WA; three step-grandsons, Christopher Stone of Stuttgart, Matt Kulbeth and Zach Kulbeth both of Conway; one step-granddaughter, Allison Tarkington and husband Spencer of Almyra; two grandsons, Josh Barnhill and Ethan Barnhill of Paragould; and one great-grandson, Stone Tarkington of Almyra.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Union Ridge Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
