Caryl Hawkins Palmer, age 70 of Monticello, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock. She was born September 24, 1947 in El Campo, Texas to the late James Blake Hawkins and Ruby Haynes Hawkins Loveless.

She was employed by Phillips Management and was a Christian of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Coslin and one brother, Dudley Hawkins.

Survivors include two daughters, Traci Coslin of Monticello and Jennifer Palmer Winkelpleck and husband Brian of Almyra; one sister, Judy Randle and husband Jim of Monticello; one grandson, Kerence Turpitt; three granddaughters, Karyl Ann Turpitt, Emma Winkelpleck and Josie Winkelpleck; three nephews, Tony Flemister, Dewayne Flemister and Randy Hawkins; and two nieces, Cathy Jo Flemister and Teresa Hawkins Mann.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.

    I'm sorry to read of your loss of your loved one. At times like this we all need a measure of comfort. What helps comfort me is the wonderful future we have to look forward to found at John 5:28 & 29 where we are promised "All those in the memorial tombs (grave) will be resurrected." How wonderful that will be!
