He was a retired pipefitter with 706 Pipefitter Union where he was employed for many years before working for Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home for ten years. He was a member of Florence Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Kim Gladden of Monticello; one daughter, Lisa Gladden of Monticello; his mother, Jewel Jordan Hargis of Monticello; two brothers, Billy Gladden and Dennis Gladden both of Monticello; one granddaughter, Hope Hutchinson; and two great grandchildren, Avery and Nazmae.
