Shannon attended Monticello High School, class of 1999. He later moved to Dallas, TX where he worked as a shipping clerk for LOLOI Rug Company, he was the best clerk they had. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Maria Snowton in June 2006, to this union no children were born. Shannon was preceded in death by grandparents, Leroy and Clementine Moore, Earnest and Lucy Haynes, a son, Cameron Haynes, four aunts, four uncles, two great-aunts and two great-uncles and one niece, Ashunti McClinton.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mom, Sharon Ibukun (Thomas); his father, John Haynes, Sr. of Anniston, AL; sister, Lashawn (Adell) McClinton, Kembree Moore; two brothers, John Haynes, Jr. and his twin brother, Brandon DuJuan Haynes; a daughter, Nevaeh Haynes of Dallas, TX; eight aunts, Louise Lafrance) Colbert, Christine (Steve) Collins, Evelyn Moore, Shelanda Moore all of Monticello, Annette (Mark) Batts, Austin, TX, Linda Haynes of Little Rock, Lonzella Lambert of Portland and Betty Haynes of Milwaukee, WI; six uncles, Leon (Carol) Moore, Doyle Moore, Lonnie Moore, Roy Lee Haynes, all of Monticello, William Moore of Phoenix, AZ and Bobby Haynes of Fayetteville, North Carolina; three nieces, Marshata Moore, De'Essence McClinton of Monticello, Janyah Haynes of Dallas, TX; two nephews, Mario Hunter, Brandon Haynes, Jr. of Dallas, TX; two great-aunts, Wanda (Bob) Lewis of Bakersfield, CA and Gloria Matthews of St. Louis, MO; four great-grand nieces, three great-nephews. He had special cousins, that acted as siblings, Chris Moore, DeOnta Moore, Jamon Moore, Keith Moore, Teasie Moore, Kelvin Jacobs, Crystal Handley, Jeremy Colbert, Kendrick Burks, Roderick Ridgell, Marcus Woodard, Brandon Lambert and a host of many others.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
