Funeral services were held in Hoschton, GA at Celebration Church. A small service/viewing will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shook was born July 7, 1925 in Baxter, AR to the late Ira Ab and Alma Belle Davis. She and husband, John Shook moved to Dallas, TX shortly after they married where she was a long time resident of the East Texas area until 2012 when she moved to Hoschton. She was always involved in her local church. She raised her family in First Baptist Church of Urbandale where she taught Sunday School and went on several choir tours with the youth group as an adult leader. She was also a member of Westlake Baptist Church in Tyler, TX. After the death of her husband, she moved to be near her son in Combine, TX where she was involved in the local Senior Citizens group and a member of Central Baptist Church, Crandall, TX. She moved to be near her daughter when they relocated to Hoschton in 2012. She was a loved playing cards and games with her family and friends. She was also known for her chocolate pie and "Mrs. Shook's Cake". Her priorities were faith, family, and friends. Mrs. Shook was the last surviving member of her immediate family of 10 siblings.
Mrs. Shook is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John and Cissy Shook of Dallas, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Charles Watts of Hoschton, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Monticello, AR Friday, February 22, 2019 Dear Brenda, John David & Your Families,I am so sad for the loss of your Mom & my Aunt Orlean. She was my most favorite aunt & I will miss her so much. Aunt Orlean was such a great person I know the Lord is so happy to have her beside Him. I can not begin to imagine how happy Uncle Johnny & Mark were to see her. Please know that you all are in my thoughts & prayers.
